The child patient is a constantly changing being. Every external influence will have a positive or negative impact on the craniofacial development of the individual. Vital functions such as breathing, chewing and swallowing, which are indispensable for survival, are developed in the stomatognathic system. If there is any alteration that prevents a normal function, the child will develop adaptation mechanisms to be able to carry them out and thus ensure survival in its environment, even if the result is a poor development of the structures.  During my presentation, I will show you cases with different parafunctional habits and the repercussions they will have on the paediatric patient. We will look beyond the teeth and we will diagnose early and globally alterations that, if diagnosed and treated in time, will improve the normal development of the child.
